Tara – The Divine Mother of Compassion and Swift Protection

Tara, known as the "Saviouress," is one of the most beloved deities in Tibetan Buddhism. As a Bodhisattva, Tara is revered in many forms—most notably as Green Tara, who acts swiftly to remove obstacles and fears, and White Tara, who grants long life and healing.

Tara is traditionally depicted as a beautiful, youthful goddess, seated in a posture of ease and readiness. One leg is extended, symbolizing her willingness to rise and help, while the other remains folded in meditation. Her hands often display gestures of generosity and protection, and she is adorned with lotus flowers, representing purity and spiritual awakening.
